Performance

You can view the data about our school on  the Department for Education Performance Tables website here.

Please note:

The government did not publish KS2 school level data for the 2021 to 2022 academic year. They have archived data from the 2018 to 2019 academic year because they recognise that the data from that year may no longer reflect current performance.

Assessment

The school’s belief is that assessment is not a singular activity; it is about measurement of performance at a given point in time and over time. It is a means of obtaining information that can be used to promote future learning. In our assessment procedures we recognise the individuality of all children, taking a positive view and recognising that praise and success are great motivators in the learning process.

We have high expectations of the pupils and use data to monitor performance and to inform our planning. Children are taught to evaluate their own and their peers’ work so that they can understand what they have achieved and what they need to work on.

Pupils progress and attainment is regularly tracked throughout the school. All pupils’ progress is reviewed by class teachers alongside a member of the Leadership Team at timetabled Pupil Progress Meetings, in which particular groups of children are looked at in detail (e.g. children whose progress or attainment are causing concern).
